Michael Patrick Frickey of Fairbury died on December 10, 2016; he was born April 8, 1958, in Evergreen Park to Willard and Mary Mullman Frickey.

Served as a Livingston County Sheriff's Deputy from 1979 to 1992 and as a Fairbury Police Department officer from 1992 to 2016, serving as Chief from 2013 to 2016.

Held leadership roles including past President of Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #186, DARE officer, Prairie Central High School resource officer, and founder of the CIFL program; volunteer football coach and member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Fairbury.

Witnessed the Chicago Cubs win the World Series in November 2016, fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Illinois House of Representatives extends condolences to his surviving wife Cynthia, three children, five grandchildren, and siblings.
