Frank H. "Bud" Paschen died on December 12, 2016, at age 80; he was a fourth-generation contractor whose family business dated back to 1871.

Founded F.H. Paschen S.N. Nielsen, a multi-million dollar construction company operating in 25 states across commercial, industrial, and civil industries.

His company helped build landmark Chicago structures including McCormick Place and the IBM Building, and employed thousands of workers annually.

Gave back to community through involvement with Chicago Public Schools as principal-for-a-day and by adopting in-need schools including Howland School and Ace Technical Charter School.

Illinois House of Representatives extends condolences to his surviving wife Dianne, eight children, three grandchildren, and extended family.
