Amends Section 14-104.10 of the Illinois Pension Code regarding State Employees Article to make a technical change in language concerning federal or out-of-state employment credit.

Removes redundant use of the word "the" before "federal government" in the section describing how contributing employees may establish additional service credit for full-time federal or out-of-state government employment.

Maintains existing provisions that limit additional service credit to 8 years or 40% of membership service (whichever is less) and require applicants to submit written applications by June 30, 1999, with proper documentation and payment of employee contributions plus employer costs and interest.
