Amends the Illinois Nuclear Safety Preparedness Act by making a technical change to Section 4 regarding fees charged to nuclear facilities.

Changes "the the" to "the" in the opening language describing persons engaged in nuclear energy production, operation of nuclear reactors, uranium conversion, and transportation or storage of spent nuclear fuel or radioactive waste.

Establishes fee structure for nuclear power stations, research reactors, uranium conversion facilities, and radioactive material transportation based on facility type and operational status.

Fees collected are used to fund state agency and local government activities for nuclear accident preparedness planning and programs, with local governments eligible for compensation from collected fees.

Annual compensation to local governments ranges from $250,000 through fiscal year 1993 to $450,000 in fiscal year 1998 and thereafter, with appropriation limits capped at $775,000 annually by fiscal year 1998.
