IL SB0740

Amends the Fire Hydrant Act to define "fire hydrant" as a water hydrant connected to a water supply system for fire suppression purposes, excluding flush hydrants.

Requires compliance with Fire Hydrant Act provisions within 30 days of receiving written notice of noncompliance from a fire protection district, township fire department, or municipality.

Makes responsible parties liable for all reasonable costs incurred by fire protection districts, township fire departments, or municipalities to correct noncompliance, including attorney's fees and legal expenses.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
