IL SB0833

Amends Section 3-6 of the Criminal Code of 2012 to extend statutes of limitations for specific crimes involving minors and other protected circumstances.

Adds subsection (i-5) extending the statute of limitations to 10 years for armed robbery, home invasion, kidnapping, or aggravated kidnapping when arising from the same course of conduct as sexual assault offenses meeting criteria under subsection (i).

Adds subsection (j-5) allowing prosecution for armed robbery, home invasion, kidnapping, or aggravated kidnapping at any time when arising from the same course of conduct as child sexual abuse offenses meeting criteria under subsection (j).

Takes effect upon becoming law.
