Physicians who have retired from active practice may use the title "Retired" in their physician profile and are not required to provide office addresses and other practice-specific information.

The Department of Professional Regulation may grant the title "Retired" to eligible retirees in regulated professions, and this title may appear in physician profiles required by the Patients' Right to Know Act.

Using the "Retired" title does not constitute representation of current licensure, registration, or certification, and persons without an active license cannot practice their profession.

Adds definition of "Hospital affiliate" to the Nurse Practice Act and Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 as organizations devoted to health care services that are controlled by or under common control with a hospital.

Sections 15 and 20 take effect January 1, 2016; all other provisions take effect upon becoming law.
