IL SB1425

Amends the Illinois Insurance Code by adding Section 368g, effective upon enactment of the 99th General Assembly.

Prohibits insurers from charging higher copayments, coinsurance, or office visit deductibles for physical therapy services provided by licensed physical therapists than for the same services provided by licensed primary care physicians.

Requires all insurers offering accident and health insurance policies in Illinois that cover physical therapy to clearly disclose the availability of physical therapy coverage and all related limitations, conditions, and exclusions in their policies.

Applies to policies that are amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after the effective date.
