IL SB1603

Allows members of the active-duty or reserve component of the United States Armed Forces returning from a combat mission to waive their vehicle registration renewal application and fees for one year beginning in registration year 2017.

Requires proof of combat mission service through hostile fire pay or imminent danger pay documentation received within the 12 months preceding the registration renewal.

Exempts specialty, personalized, and vanity license plate fees from the waiver provision.

Adds a new 3-year vehicle registration option with applications due by December 1 of the year preceding the registration period.
