IL SB1626

Amends the Mercury Switch Removal Act by removing the sunset date limitation from Section 20, allowing annual evaluations of manufacturers' mercury switch collection programs to continue indefinitely rather than ending in 2016.

Extends the repeal date of the Mercury Switch Removal Act from January 1, 2017 to January 1, 2027, providing an additional 10 years for the mercury switch collection program to operate.

Maintains the Agency's authority to meet annually with manufacturers to review their mercury switch collection program performance and recommend modifications if objectives are not being met.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
