Adds Section 115-25 to the Code of Criminal Procedure to regulate how a witness's illegal immigration status can be used to impeach credibility in court proceedings.

Permits impeachment based on illegal immigration status only during cross-examination and only if the party offering the witness refuses to stipulate to that status.

Requires the party seeking to introduce a witness's illegal immigration status to prove it by a preponderance of the evidence.

If both parties agree to and sign a stipulation regarding the witness's illegal immigration status, the opposing party cannot question the witness about it, and the stipulation must be presented to the trier-of-fact immediately after the witness testifies.

Does not limit cross-examination on other matters related to witness credibility, bias, or interest, and does not affect discovery obligations.
