IL SB1754

Prohibits Medicaid Managed Care Entities from disclosing information about sensitive health services (mental health, substance abuse, reproductive health, STI/STD, sexual assault, domestic violence, and care coordination services) to any person, including through bills or explanations of benefits, unless the recipient requests it.

Applies to all Medicaid recipients enrolled in Care Coordination Entities, Accountable Care Entities, Managed Care Community Networks, or Managed Care Organizations.

Preserves the obligation of Medicaid Managed Care Entities and the Department to report sexually transmitted infections to the Department of Public Health or local board of health as required by law and to comply with the Abused and Neglected Child Reporting Act.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
