SB1819 Summary

• Requires disabled parking signs to display "$250 fine" in a manner determined by the Department.

• Allows transportation of partially consumed wine bottles in vehicles if sealed by a licensed restaurant or winery in a tamper-proof bag with a dated receipt.

• Makes operating a motorcycle, motor driven cycle, or moped on one wheel while exceeding the speed limit by 26+ mph a petty offense with a minimum $100 fine, in addition to other statutory penalties.

• Requires vehicle back-up lamps to be mounted on the rear and emit white light only when the vehicle is in reverse.

• Requires non-highway vehicles operated on highways to display a slow-moving vehicle emblem on the rear and defines "non-highway vehicle" by reference to Section 11-1426.1.
