SB2165 - Public Trust in Funding Responsibility Act

• Prohibits State agencies from contracting with or making grants to any entity that performs abortions or operates a facility where abortions are performed using State funds.

• Defines "State funds" as funds obtained through State taxation, fees, or assessments, excluding federal funds and funds required by federal law to be expended.

• Exempts hospitals licensed under the Hospital Licensing Act and ambulatory surgical centers licensed under the Ambulatory Surgical Treatment Center Act from the prohibition.

• Applies only to contracts and grants entered into or renewed on or after the bill's effective date.

• Takes effect upon becoming law.
