IL SB2216

Amends the Riverboat Gambling Act to modify occupational license eligibility requirements for gaming employees.

Adds new provision (a-5) exempting first driving under the influence convictions from disqualification if the conviction occurred more than 10 years before application for a video gaming establishment, truck stop, fraternal, or veterans establishment license.

Allows the Board discretion to issue occupational licenses to applicants convicted of crimes involving dishonesty or moral turpitude if more than 10 years have passed since conviction and no subsequent convictions exist.

Maintains existing requirements including age restrictions (21 for gaming functions, 18 for non-gaming), fingerprint submissions, background checks, and Board-determined skill and knowledge standards.

Preserves Board authority to refuse, suspend, revoke, or restrict licenses for disqualifying conduct, false statements on applications, or other just cause.
