IL SB2264

Amends the School Code to allow nonpublic school students who are district residents to participate in non-selective school-sponsored or school-supported athletic and extracurricular activities at public schools.

Requires requests for part-time attendance and activity participation to be submitted by the nonpublic school principal to the public school by May 1 for the following school year.

Requests for participation are limited to public schools located in the school district where the nonpublic school student resides.

Requires athletic associations and organizations that regulate interscholastic athletics in Illinois to report to the General Assembly by July 1, 2016, on their efforts to communicate rules to both public and nonpublic schools.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law, with the reporting requirement section repealing on July 1, 2017.
