IL SB2342

Amends the Fish and Aquatic Life Code to add catfish to the list of species that may be taken using pitchforks, underwater spear guns, bows and arrows, spears, or gigs.

Requires persons taking these fish species to possess a valid sport fishing license.

Prohibits sale or barter of fish taken by these methods except as authorized by the Department.

Delegates authority to set daily take limits, harvest limits, and authorize additional species to administrative rule rather than statute.
