IL SB2532

Amends the Military Veterans Assistance Act to modify the composition and selection process for Veterans Assistance Commissions in counties with 2 or more military veterans organization posts, camps, chapters, or detachments.

Requires Veterans Assistance Commissions to publish an annual notice on January 1 calling on military veterans organizations to select delegates and alternates, with a 60-day response period.

Allows each post, camp, unit, chapter, ship, or detachment to select one delegate and one alternate to the commission.

Permits counties with 5 or more posts of the same military veterans organization to consolidate representation into a single delegate and single alternate representing all constituent groups of that organization.

Takes effect upon becoming law.
