IL SB2745

Amends the Election Code to require parties seeking judicial review of electoral board decisions to serve a copy of the court petition on the election authority in addition to the electoral board and other parties to the proceeding.

Modifies the judicial review process by requiring service of petitions within 5 days after the electoral board's decision and setting court hearings within 30 days of petition filing.

Amends the School Code to remove provisions that restricted county clerks and election boards from filing school board member nomination petitions unless they included specific documents (statement of candidacy, voter signatures, notarized petition circulator signature, and economic interest receipt).

Allows county election officials to receive and file school board nomination petitions without requiring all specified documentation to be submitted, while still maintaining other requirements of general election law.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
