IL SB2749

Amends the State Police Act to require aggregate appropriations for sworn State Police officer salaries to be no less than the total aggregate appropriations from the immediately preceding fiscal year, effective upon passage.

Creates a continuing appropriation of all amounts necessary to meet the salary requirement if annual appropriations are insufficient to maintain the prior year's funding level.

Allows the General Assembly to appropriate lesser amounts only through subsequent legislation that changes this requirement.
