IL SB2883

Amends the Wildlife Code to change references from "pheasants" to "game birds" in provisions regarding public hunting grounds daily usage stamps and fees.

Authorizes the Department to issue daily usage stamps for waterfowl hunting at fees not exceeding $10 for duck areas and $15 for Canada goose areas.

Establishes daily fees for game bird hunting starting at $25 ($35 for non-residents) in 2008, increasing by $5 every third year until reaching a maximum of $50 ($60 for non-residents).

Permits hunters to harvest both male and female hand-reared pheasants, bobwhite quail, chukar partridge, and gray partridge released on public hunting grounds during seasons set between September 1st and March 31st.

Requires the Department to adopt administrative rules governing the operation of public hunting areas on state-owned or leased lands and waters in compliance with the Illinois Administrative Procedure Act.
