IL SB2935

Removes the requirement for state appropriations for the portion of county supervisor of assessments salaries paid by the State from the Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund.

Eliminates appropriation requirements for state payments covering 66 2/3% of public defenders' salaries and 66 2/3% of state's attorneys' salaries (except Cook County) that are paid from the Personal Property Tax Replacement Fund or General Revenue Fund.

Removes appropriation language for state's attorney assistant salaries for mental health institutions, correctional institutions, higher education institutions, and alcohol-related traffic offense prosecution.

Makes conforming changes to the State Revenue Sharing Act clarifying that certain state-funded salary payments to local officials are no longer subject to appropriation requirements.
