IL SB2941

Prohibits public universities in Illinois (University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Chicago State University, Eastern Illinois University, Governors State University, Illinois State University, Northeastern Illinois University, and Western Illinois University) from blocking student class registration or withholding transcripts solely because a student owes money to the institution.

Applies the same prohibition to community college districts, preventing them from denying class registration or transcript issuance based on outstanding student debt.

Takes effect immediately upon becoming law.
