Counties must prepare and file a report with the General Assembly by January 1, 2017 identifying all local public entities to which they appoint members.

Report must include the entity's legal name, principal place of business, services provided, total board members, other appointing authorities, creation process, consolidation or dissolution plans, property tax levy status, and funding sources if no property tax is levied.

"Local public entity" is defined as any unit of local government, special district, or governing body whose membership is appointed in whole or in part by the county board, board of commissioners, county chairman/president, or county executive.

This reporting requirement is repealed on January 1, 2018.

Act takes effect upon becoming law.
