Department of Transportation must notify Division of Property Control and Division of Vehicles when a vehicle has exhausted its useful life and needs replacement for potential reallocation to another state agency

If vehicle is not reallocated within state fleet, Department shall make it available for public purchase through an auction process, including units of local government that previously requested notification

Proceeds from sale of Department vehicles shall be deposited in the Road Fund and used as provided in Section 8.3 of the State Finance Act

"Vehicle" defined to include passenger automobiles, light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks, and self-propelled motorized equipment exceeding 25 horsepower and attachments

"Units of local government" includes entities defined in Section 1 of Article VII of the Illinois Constitution and entities named in Section 7b of the State Property Control Act
