Secretary of State shall waive all fees for Illinois Identification Cards issued to persons released from the Department of Corrections or Department of Juvenile Justice on parole, mandatory supervised release, aftercare release, final discharge, or pardon.

Department of Corrections and Department of Juvenile Justice shall provide eligible persons with identification cards upon release without requiring a $1 fee or meeting Department-established criteria.

Identification cards issued by the Departments upon release shall be valid for up to 90 calendar days (increased from 30 days) from the date of issuance.

Persons released from either Department may present their temporary identification card to the Secretary of State to apply for a standard Illinois Identification Card with all fees waived.
