IL SB3120

Authorizes code enforcement officials employed by local governments to enforce Section 12-713 of the Illinois Vehicle Code regarding construction vehicle company insignia display at worksites within their jurisdiction.

Requires every second division commercial vehicle used by construction contractors or subcontractors to display the company name on the vehicle side or trailer in letters at least 2 inches tall and one-half inch wide.

Establishes that violations of the company name display requirement are petty offenses subject to a fine of not less than $500.

Mandates that code enforcement officials must dismiss a violation if the alleged violation has been corrected prior to or on the date of the hearing scheduled to adjudicate it.

Defines "code enforcement official" as an officer or designated authority charged with administering, interpreting, and enforcing codes on behalf of a municipality or county.
