Deletes the requirement that employees purchasing military service credit under Section 14-104(j) must pay an additional amount equal to the employer's normal cost of the benefit plus interest.

Applies only to military service credit purchased on or after the bill's effective date and does not entitle any person to a refund of contributions or interest already paid.

Excludes the change from the definition of "new benefit increase" in Section 14-152.1, meaning the modification is not subject to the new benefit increase funding and expiration requirements.

Effective immediately upon becoming law.
