Michael Ward Adler, age 55, passed away on May 31, 2016, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends.

Served as Vice-President of J. L. Adler Roofing Company in Joliet, a fourth-generation family business founded in 1926 by his grandfather.

Held leadership positions including Secretary/Treasurer of the Contractors Association of Will & Grundy County, Man of the Year in 2012, and President of the Board of Directors of the Boys & Girls Club of Joliet.

Active member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Naperville, serving on the parish council and children's ministry, and coached his children's sports teams.

Survived by his wife Joanne of 31 years, four children (Kelly, Erin, Mike, and Collin), one grandson, and multiple siblings and extended family members.
