Thomas H. Hawkins of Colona passed away on May 27, 2016, prompting the Illinois Senate to issue a memorial resolution.

Hawkins was born June 28, 1952, in Moline to Howard "Lucky" and Beverly Ostrowski Hawkins; he retired as a Major in the United States Army Chemical Brigade.

Hawkins retired from Case International Harvester as a machinist after 31 years of service and enjoyed fishing, sports, and spending time with family and friends.

Hawkins is survived by his mother Beverly, wife Kelly, children Chris and Rachel, five grandchildren, brother Robert, and sister Mary.

The Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Hawkins's family and directs that a suitable copy of the resolution be presented to them.
