M. Bernice Springman passed away on June 15, 2016, at the age of 96 after being born November 22, 1919, in Hamburg, Missouri.

Worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduating second in her class from Olin's Vocational School of Practical Nursing and practicing at St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton before retiring in 1990 at age 70.

Volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Alton Memorial Hospital and participated in community organizations including the Parent Teacher Association and Mother's Club at McKinley Grade School.

Survived by one son, two daughters, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, two nieces, and three nephews.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for her passing and directs presentation of the resolution to her family.
