Darlene S. Fiske of Woodstock died on June 1, 2016; she was born November 4, 1929 in Chicago to Arthur E. and Alma Sharp and married Kenneth V. Fiske in 1954.

Graduated from Northwestern University where she was a member of Alpha Phi Sorority and Mortar Board; earned a master's degree in Library Science from the University of Chicago.

Founded the McHenry County Audubon Society and Woodstock Fine Arts Association; was a key organizer in restoring the Woodstock Opera House and served on the Governor's Committee on Endangered Species.

Had a career in television production with NBC Chicago before marriage, working on Zoo Parade, Wild Kingdom, and Mr. Wizard; was passionate about opera and folk music.

Survived by her husband Kenneth, three daughters, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and her twin brother Donald Sharp.
