Vivian G. Smith of Harvard passed away on May 31, 2016, at the age of 90, having been born July 24, 1925 in Belvidere.

Vivian Smith worked as a bookkeeper and farmer, and was an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, St. John United Church of Christ in Belvidere, and the Women of the Moose in Harvard.

She was preceded in death by her husband Merle, her parents William and Gladys Armbruster, and three brothers.

Vivian Smith is survived by three children (Dona, Wayne, and Dale), eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for the passing of Vivian Smith and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to her family.
