Illinois Senate mourns the death of Carole Ann Taylor of Rosewood Heights, who died on June 25, 2016.

Carole Taylor was born October 19, 1934, graduated from Stonington High School in 1953, and married Norman Eugene Taylor on July 15, 1956.

She was a dedicated member of St. Paul United Methodist Church for 53 years and held leadership roles in the Illinois State Medical Society Alliance for 56 years, serving on its board for 25 years and as President of the Madison County Medical Alliance.

She was active in community organizations including the Alton Christian Woman's Club, Stonecroft Ministries, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Job Daughters, and was known for hosting missionaries, Bible study groups, and family gatherings.

The Senate extends condolences to her surviving family, including four children, six granddaughters, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
