Henry Beall Sinclair of Peoria passed away on April 21, 2016, at age 86; born January 11, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri.

Earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from UC Berkeley in 1952 and a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from MIT in 1959; worked as a chemist at Proctor & Gamble and the USDA Agricultural Lab in Peoria.

Dedicated volunteer for over 50 years with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as scout leader at Kellar School Troop 304 for 15 years and attending three National Jamborees and international scouting events.

Active member of the Universalist Unitarian Church for over 50 years serving as Board President and Trust Officer; longtime Audubon Society member who conducted bird census counts at Illinois River locations.

Illinois Senate mourns his passing and expresses sympathy to his surviving children, Claudia and Ian.
