Earl L. Bennett of Moline passed away on June 22, 2016; he was born October 21, 1935 in Oakwood, Oklahoma to Jess and Pauline (Writer) Bennett.

Served in the United States Navy; married Mary Bennett on August 22, 1959 in Keyes, Oklahoma and later married Janet Wood on February 10, 2000 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Retired in 1987 from the Rock Island Arsenal; enjoyed bowling, playing golf, and traveling.

Survived by his wife Janet, children Quilla, Stephanie, and Jonna Bennett, stepchildren Matthew Moskowitz and Stacy Barnett, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, step-grandchildren, sister Verla Lawson, and brother Carl Bennett.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to Earl Bennett's family and loved ones, and directs presentation of a suitable copy of this resolution to his family.
