Stanley M. Koch of Marengo passed away on June 21, 2016 at age 92, having been born on January 4, 1924 in Hinckley.

Served in the United States Marine Corps starting February 9, 1943, trained as an aviation mechanic with the rank of Staff Sergeant, and stationed at Miramar Marine Base in California training recruits on Corsair aircraft.

Worked at Dean Foods in Huntley on pasteurization and homogenization processes, then retired after 32 years as a machinist at Union Special.

Active and founding member of Huntley American Legion Post 673 and last World War II veteran in the Post; member of Wisconsin Polka Club of Milwaukee with his wife Lucille.

Survived by four children, multiple grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; preceded in death by his wife Lucille and four siblings.
