George C. Hook of Wadsworth died on June 21, 2016; he was born February 7, 1927 in Waukegan to George P. and Elsie M. Hook.

Served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during World War II and the Korean War.

Worked as a lineman for Commonwealth Edison for over 30 years and was a longtime member and Post Commander of American Legion Homer Dahringer Post 281 in Waukegan.

Married Catherine A. Paulsen on August 23, 1958 in Waukegan; preceded in death by his parents and wife Catherine.

Survived by two children (Evelyn Smyth and Robert Hook), three grandchildren (Lauren, Katie, and Maddie Hook), and numerous extended family members; the Illinois Senate expresses condolences and will present a copy of this resolution to his family.
