Daniel Frank Kerpan of Waukegan passed away on June 24, 2016, at age 93.

Served in the United States Navy during World War II in the South Pacific and participated in a Chicago-area Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. in October 2012.

Worked at Cyclone Fence in North Chicago and later provided security at St. Therese Hospital in Waukegan after retirement.

Active member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church, The Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus, and Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 848; organized the annual Kerpan Open golf tournament beginning in 1957.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his wife Lois, four sons, grandchildren, and extended family.
