George Crozier Kieffer of Rock Island died; he was born May 25, 1932 in Moline to George Crozier Kieffer, Sr. and Theola E. Ballou Kieffer.

Kieffer graduated from Rock Island High School in 1950 and served in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1957.

Kieffer owned Artistic Improvement, Inc. and purchased the Des Moines River Farm in Missouri in 1986, which operated as a hunting preserve.

Kieffer was an accomplished decoy carver and wildlife painter who enjoyed hunting, geode collecting, and family activities including Fourth of July celebrations.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy to Kieffer's surviving family: wife Marilyn, daughters Lisa and Lori, grandchildren, siblings John and Anne, and numerous nieces and nephews.
