Lossee Morford of Taylor Ridge died on July 8, 2016, at age 91.

Born September 12, 1924, to Peter Lossee and Carrie Dorothy Morford; served in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee on Midway Island in 1943.

Worked as a carpenter, business owner (Morford's Market and Hiway Royal Blue), realtor, and Rock Island County Board of Review employee until retiring in 1993.

Survived by his wife of 70 years, Esther Clark (married September 1, 1946), one son, two daughters, nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and directs that a copy of the resolution be presented to the Morford family.
