Jeffrey Arthur Lovett, who passed away on July 10, 2016, is memorialized by the Illinois Senate; he was born March 18, 1958 in Temple, Texas and married Lisa Linn Reed on February 14, 1975.

Lovett graduated from Dixon High School (1976), Sauk Valley College (1978), and Northern Illinois University (1980) with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance.

He served as a state bank examiner and held various leadership positions including Assistant Vice President at Dixon National Bank (1985), Senior Vice President and Chief Lending Officer after AMCORE's acquisition (1992), and Regional Market President for Midland States Bank (2010).

Lovett was extensively involved in community organizations including serving as President of the Dixon Evening Lions Club, Dixon Family YMCA, Dixon Petunia Festival, and Dixon Main Street, and received the Dixon Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year Award in 1995.

He is survived by his wife Lisa, daughters Heather and Sarah, four granddaughters, his parents, siblings Joan and Don, and eight nieces and nephews.
