Honors Dr. Thomas J. McGrath of Joliet, who died on July 17, 2016, at age 84.

Recognizes his medical career including graduation from University of Illinois School of Medicine, service as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force Academy, and specialization in obstetrics and gynecology.

Acknowledges his founding partnership in the Joliet Medical Group, service as Medical Director and Chief of Staff at Saint Joseph Hospital, and volunteer work at the Will/Grundy County Medical Clinic until his 1996 retirement.

Notes his post-retirement service on the Board of Directors at Saint Joseph Hospital and University of Saint Francis, and his work as Medical Director for Captive Insurance.

Survived by his wife Joan of 62 years, seven children, multiple grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
