Richard E. "Dick" Walters of Woodstock died on July 6, 2016, and was born September 20, 1942 to parents Ervin and Lucille Walters.

Walters farmed throughout his life and received the State of Illinois Outstanding Young Farmer Award and the National Young Farmer Award.

Served as President of the Woodstock District 200 School Board for eight years and served on boards for Illinois FFA, McHenry County Farm Bureau, Conserve FS, and Growmark, Inc.

Survived by his wife Donna (married July 8, 1961), three daughters, nine grandchildren, one sibling, and extended family.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy for the passing of Richard Walters and directs that a copy of this resolution be presented to his family.
