John E. "Jack" Schultz of Galena passed away on July 22, 2016; he was born May 23, 1929 in Boone, Iowa and married Wendy Palka on November 20, 1985.

Schultz graduated from Dixon High School and Beloit College, furthered his education at the University of Illinois and University of Louisville Law School, and served in the United States Navy.

Schultz was a successful attorney who served as Corporation Counsel for the City of Waukegan for 30 years and was a member of the Waukegan City Club, Waukegan Yacht Club, and Medinah Shriners.

Schultz is survived by his wife Wendy, three daughters, three stepsons, and 12 grandchildren.

The Illinois Senate expresses sympathy to the Schultz family and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family.
