Senate Resolution mourning the death of Wayne Holmbeck of Des Plaines, who passed away on July 29, 2016

Holmbeck was born November 26, 1922, and served in the United States Navy during World War II, participating in an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

Spent over 50 years as a mechanical engineer designing automatic machinery and was survived by his wife Marion of 67 years, three children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren

Holmbeck was known for his active lifestyle, enjoying running, golfing, camping, biking, swimming, skiing, and learning to snowboard at age 80 with his grandchildren
