Arthur Walker of Lake Bluff died on July 30, 2016; he was born September 1, 1937 in Waukegan to parents Paul Walker and Wanda Hanzel Walker.

Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin and served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960.

Worked as a Lake Forest police officer for over 10 years before becoming Chief Investigator for the Lake County State's Attorney's Office in March 1975, establishing a criminal investigative unit within 30 days.

Preceded in death by his second wife Nicki M. Walker, parents, sister Bernadette Walker Maloney, and two dogs; survived by wife Elena Walker, five adult children, eight grandchildren, and extended family.

Illinois Senate expresses mourning for Arthur Walker's passing and directs presentation of a suitable copy of this resolution to his family.
