Illinois Senate mourns the death of Hope Jovicin of Richton Park, who passed away on July 18, 2016.

Hope Jovicin was an active member of the Human Relations Commission and served as Resident Representative for Park Towers Annual Resident Appreciation Picnic and Associate Member of the Senior Citizen Advisory Committee.

She participated in humanitarian efforts including "Coalition to do Good" for orphans in Jeremie, Haiti, the Cat Island Sister City Project, and hosted community dinners at Park Towers.

Hope Jovicin received recognition including a certificate from Age Options Volunteer Awards Luncheon, the "I Make A Difference" award, selection as Unsung Heroine of Cook County 6th District, and the 2013 Richton Park Citizen of the Year.

The Senate extends sincere condolences to Hope Jovicin's family, friends, and loved ones, and directs that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family.
