Matthew F. Parker, Jr. of Rock Island passed away on August 4, 2016, at age 90.

Served in the United States Navy during World War II and worked at IH Farmall in Rock Island for 39 years.

Co-owned and operated Parker Janitorial Service with his wife Katherine for 33 years and was active in community organizations including serving as a Rock Island Township trustee for more than 35 years.

Held leadership positions in multiple Masonic organizations and was a member of New Journey African Methodist Episcopal Church in Moline.

Illinois Senate expresses sympathy to his surviving family including three children, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
