Arnold "Arnie" Norman of Erie passed away on August 15, 2016, and the Illinois Senate expresses condolences to his family and friends.

Arnold Norman was born March 21, 1932, graduated from Erie High School in 1949, served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a lifelong farmer on the same property since age six months.

He served as a trustee of the Erie Fire Protection District for 12 years and was an active member of Erie Evangelical Free Church and the 2015 Honor Flight.

Arnold Norman is survived by his wife Adalene (married 61 years), four children, eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

A suitable copy of the resolution will be presented to the Norman family as an expression of the Senate's sympathy.
